Pixie is looking for a very patient forever home where she can be a companion for a gentle playful kitty.  During the first part of Pixie's life she lived without human interaction and coexisted with many other kitties. Because of this unfortunate beginning she is more interested in kitties than humans.  She will not hide, she loves to sit about 3-4 feet away and watch your every move.  She is extremely playful and loves to interact with other kitties and carry her toys around the house.  In fact, sometimes at night I have to take her toys away because she will spend all night chasing them up and down the hallways! 

 

Pixie is very petite, only about 5 lbs.  but you wouldn't know it from watching her eat!  She absolutely loves food and purrs while she is eating.  She will come to you for treats and, of course, sit by you at dinner time hoping you drop something on the floor.  You can pet her while she is getting treats but usually once the treats are done so is she.  She is very comfortable with other kitties and feels secure with them around.  She will rub against them in a very loving way and would love it if she found a forever friend to play with.  At times while I am in the kitchen making dinner she will come and rub against my legs but she would rather come to you on her terms.  She really is a sweet girl that has had a tough start in life.  She is slowly learning that people are pretty good to have around.  She will most likely never be a cuddler lap kitty or sleep on the bed with you.  She MUST go to a home with other kitties.

 

Pixie has had chronic eye infections and her new owner will need to monitor this closely as it may contine to flare up when she is stressed.  She is a special needs kitty and will need a very loving home to help her reach her full potential.
