JASPER
Chartreux. Born 4/13/05. Front paw declaw
Jasper appears to be a Chartreux but may also be a mix or amazing look alike. Purebred Chartreux are very rare to find in Rescue, but wonderful look alikes do appear from time to time. We'll know more once our breed experts have had a chance to evaluate her. She is a great cat that has lost her home and family because of foreclosure. Their mom tried all she could to get them an apartment that would allow cats, or to find a safe new home for them. Sadly, all of her efforts have failed. She is heart broken to give up Jasper and her Siamese "sister". They have lived in Oregon their entire lives, but are now on their way to California and new foster homes. Here is the note we received from their mom:
Dear Cindy:
These are pictures of Jasper our Chartreux female cat. She loves being around people, other cats, and if your dog loves cats she will love him too. She was born April 13, 2005. She has had all her shots, she is spayed, and is littered trained. She must also be an indoor cat because her front paws have been declawed. She loves to play and will talk to you. She also loves kids if they are nice to her. Again, thanks.
Folks, we don't have room for these cats but we're taking them anyway and praying that someone will step forward to foster or adopt them immediately. With the economy the way it is purebred cats are suddenly flooding into Rescue. Breeds we've never seen before are turning up in high kill shelters and it breaks our hearts to not be able to do more. PLEASE, if you've ever thought you wanted to make a difference, now is the time to help.
Contact Cyndi @ (707)301-RESQ. Or email info@purebredsplus.org to foster or adopt this cat. To learn more about fostering please visit our home page and read about what we're hoping to find in a few good foster homes.
